Michelle Albino, LVT, VTS (Anesthesia & Analgesia)

Michelle Albino has been a licensed veterinary technician since 2003. For 13 years, she was employed at the Animal Medical Center in New York City in the anesthesia and emergency departments. She served as team leader of the anesthesia department and oversaw anesthesia training and education. During this time, in 2012, Michelle obtained her VTS in anesthesia and analgesia. She has a passion for speaking and has lectured at many local and national conferences including IVECCS, ACVIM, NAVAS, and the ASPCA shelter conference.

Through her business, Mindful Training and Consultation, she consults with veterinary clinics to help elevate their anesthesia, pain management, staff training, and integrative wellness practices. She offers interactive workshops, labs, standardized protocols, and hands-on training and education. She is a RECOVER CPR BLS/ALS certified rescuer and has created RECOVER CPR trainings specifically for shelter and general medicine. Michelle holds additional certifications in virtual facilitation, online design, and adult learning principles.

Michelle’s mission is to help bring modern, quality anesthesia and analgesia practices to general and shelter practices via simplified protocols and standard operating procedures, helping to expedite flow, practice multi-modal analgesia, and increase veterinary technician utilization and autonomy. Michelle currently resides in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and is the director of training and education at the ASPCA.
